Last week our CEO, Jovan Stevovic, spoke with Faces of Digital Health, about his journey establishing Chino.io as well as the importance of regulations for digital health applications.
Faces of Digital Health is a podcast about digital health and how healthcare systems adopt technology. Tjasa Zajc interviewed Jovan about his experiences in this field. During the podcast, they spoke about key regulations, such as MDR, GDPR and HIPAA. Jovan also shared the story of Chino.io and his passion for the subject.
Jovan contrasted how companies implemented GDPR and MDR:
"Companies are much better prepared for MDR than they were for GDPR"
Tjasa also asked Jovan about progress with cybersecurity, data protection and data privacy. In particular, how well companies are implementing GDPR.
“There is still work to be done on GDPR to make it healthcare specific. At the moment, it is very general compared to HIPPA in the US, which is very specific,”
commented Jovan Stevović. GDPR has been enforced for almost two years. Yet, we still see companies that are failing to protect health data properly.
