Digital health conferences 2020: Coronavirus update
Coronavirus has led to many digital health conferences being cancelled, postponed or moved online. Here, we give an update on the main conferences in Europe.
Rearranged for 2020
These conferences have been reorganised or delayed to later this year.
DMEA: 16-18 June, online only
DMEA is one of the biggest digital health conferences in Europe. This year, it has been postponed and will now happen in a new online form. This will see a series of online presentations and interviews rather than the usual expo format. The organisers will publish more details soon.
Vitalis: 25-27 August, Gothenburg, Sweden
Vitalis is the largest eHealth event in Scandinavia. This year's event has been postponed to August 25-27. The event attracts over 100 exhibitors and 5,000+ attendees.
HIMSS Europe: 7-9 September, Helsinki, Finland
HIMSS Europe is one of the most influential eHealth conferences in Europe and is part of the larger HIMSS series of events. HIMSS co-hosts the important Health 2.0 networking and matchmaking event. Because of the pandemic, HIMSS has been postponed until September.
Postponed to 2021
These conferences have been postponed or cancelled for this year.
Eyeforpharma: Barcelona, Spain. POSTPONED until 2021
Eyeforpharma is the biggest pharma and health conference in the world. This year's event was cancelled, but it will be back from March 16-18 2021.
Digital Healthcare Show: London, UK. POSTPONED to 2021
The Digital Healthcare Show is one of the largest trade shows for digital health in Europe. This year's event has been postponed until April 27-28, 2021.
XPOMET Medicinale: Berlin, Germany CANCELLED
Sadly, this year's XPOMET Medicinale, which was meant to take place on October 14th-16th, has been cancelled. XPOMET is a unique event with a particular Berlin-vibe, so we look forward to it returning to Berlin next year.
